MARIO BADESCU: Buffering Lotion

Wednesday, June 22, 2016

Hello everyone! February of this year marks one of the best things that ever happened to online shopping and that is because Sephora has finally arrived in the Philippine shores! Now we're just a few clicks away from getting our claws on products we adore without having to wait for a long time. Luckily I was given a complimentary GC to spend on Sephora Philippines. I have to admit it took me days to decide what to get but I finally zeroed in on a product I've been meaning to try, the Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion.

Although Mario Badescu is available locally, I couldn't help choosing this over other products because I've read a lot of good things about it. This buffering lotion comes in a 29 mL translucent plastic bottle. It has a dropperlike dispenser covered by a screw-on cap. Although it may seem simple and easy to use, you have to be careful dispensing the contents on your fingertip because it tends to spill more than what you need.

This product is a suspension with what appears to be a powder ingredient that entirely settles on the bottom and a liquid layer on top. It has a distinct smell which kind of reminds me of isopropyl alcohol but not too strong and fades in a few seconds post-application. To use, just give it a good shake to get that milky white color. After cleansing and toning, apply a drop or two on your fingertip then dab on areas where you have cystic acne. You will notice that it dries off quickly and leaves a subtle powdery finish which goes practically unnoticed when layered with moisturizer.

After religiously using this buffering lotion, I've seen a noticeable improvement on my cystic lesions. The small ones were dried off the next morning while the bigger pimples significantly dried and decreased in size after 2 days. By the end of the week, all raised lesions were flattened and those that were painful to touch were not as bothersome. Also, the pimples didn't seem as darkly pigmented as before I started using the buffering lotion. Some of the lesions are also peeling but didn't look too bad. Based on personal experience, the Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion is able to cut healing time to half and when used continuously, it can do wonders for your blemished skin.

Overall, the Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion is a must have for those who are prone to developing acne. This product may not be the sole solution to all acne woes but it works so well with my skin care regimen and has shown great potential in addressing breakouts that I'm keeping it in my regular stash. The Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion is available in Sephora Philippines and costs Php 1,349. If you buy this from the site you get complimentary sample of your choice and free shipping. Thank you for reading my post and have a great day!
