Created in 2011, mykikaystuff.com is a site for everyone who's interested to know more about beauty products from skin care to cosmetics, old and new, local and international, drugstore and high-end.
Hi, I'm Jing! A healthcare provider 24 hours a day and the sole author of this blog. I almost always write about products I really love rather than dedicate an entire post to those that don't deliver but I do rant about certain issues that I feel are worth sharing to spread awareness and warn the public. I am more of a skin care enthusiast and a makeup newbie so expect a lot of different product discoveries and reviews, first impressions, tips and probably frustrations on how to do my own makeup. I also love to eat out with family and friends so expect food reviews from time to time.
SKIN PROFILE:
My skin tone is pretty much on the medium shade with warm undertone. For US brands, I find NC 30 - 35 my closest shades when using MAC while the combination of cashew and warm sunny is my perfect fit from Clinique Even Better Foundation. As for Asian products like the Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation, I find OC-2 matches my medium warm skin flawlessly. Most single shade Asian BB Creams look too light on me but the Tony Moly Luminous Goddess Aura BB Cream flatters my skin tone the most.
I have combination skin mostly during summer with an oily T-zone and normal on the rest of my face. My skin tends to get a little dry on colder months with mild peeling around my nose and dry patches on my cheeks.
I have long, black, straight hair that actually looks brown under the sun. I'm not too adventurous when it comes to my crowning glory. I have never done any major hair treatment or radical haircut. I like maintaining the length beyond shoulder level and style it the way I want during special occasions.
Thank you for visiting my site and I hope you enjoy browsing through it. Always remember that even without makeup and skin care products, you are perfect the way God made you. Never let anyone make you believe otherwise.
