Hey guys! A week ago, hubby and I went to Walgreens and the variety of beauty products on display blew my mind off! One long aisle that stretches from the entrance down to the back of the store is solely dedicated to makeup and accessories alone. I wasn't planning on adding more stuff to my growing stash of drugstore makeup and skin care products so I ended up getting just two, one of which is the Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm sunscreen SPF 20.
The first thing I noticed that's quite unique about this lip product is the shape. Unlike other lip balms in a tube, the Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm is oval shaped. It took a while but I eventually got the hang of it by holding the tube horizontally and applying it on my lips sideways.
There's a little problem with the stick though, one side eroded which I think is because of the shape. Hopefully, this will hold up until it's all used up.
I got soft caramel among the six shades available namely sheer shimmer, healthy blush, sunny berry, petal glow and fresh plum. This lip balm is light brown embedded with tiny sparkles. It has a sweet citrus scent that's so subtle you wouldn't appreciate it unless you try to directly smell the stick. I love the buttery texture and how it glides smoothly when applied. It instantly moisturizes dry lips, feels light when worn and doesn't leave a waxy feeling.
This lip balm has a shiny finish and leaves a subtle rosy tint making your lips appear healthy. You can use this alone or under your favorite lip color. It offers sun protection with its SPF 20 and takes a couple of hours before fading so you may need to reapply often.
Overall, the Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm is a good product to try but not exactly something you can't live without. So far it's the only drugstore lip balm I own that's both tinted and offers high SPF so if you want the best of both worlds this lip balm is worth the shot. It's widely available in US drugstores but I'm not sure if it's already sold in Manila. One downside is the pricey tag of $9.49 which is roughly Php 500.
That's about everything I have to say about the Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm with SPF 20.
