AVON: Anew Clinical PRO Line Corrector with A-F33

Saturday, March 29, 2014

Hey guys! Around the same time last year I found my holy grail in skin care, Avon Anew Clinical PRO Line Corrector Treatment with Amino Fill 33 (A-F33). I was so impressed with how it effectively improved my skin condition like no other product I've tried before.

I only intended to get the Avon Anew Clinical PRO Line Corrector Treatment (L) but Avon threw in the Anew Clinical PRO Line Corrector Hydrating Cream (R) for free! I'll be talking more about the cream since I already made a thorough review on the serum last time.

Avon Anew Clinical PRO Line Corrector Treatment (1,999 Php/30g)
My initial experience with this wonder product was when I got a 28-day trial kit after registering online. The overall effect on my skin was pretty much amazing but I still wanted to explore other products so it took me a while to purchase the full size.

The treatment serum is housed in a silver flask with a pump dispenser which is far better than the trial kit's multiple sachets. I love the narrow nozzle for dispensing just the right amount of product.

This serum is milky white and has the consistency of a runny lotion. It has a faint chemical scent that doesn't linger and it doesn't sting or cause any adverse skin reactions. My face had minimal peeling while my neck was peeling visibly after using this for a week. After 4 weeks of religiously applying this serum on my face and neck, my overall skin condition noticeably improved. I can't specifically point out its effect on fine wrinkles but I'm more pleased with the way my skin became smoother, look healthier and even toned.

Avon Anew Clinical PRO Line Corrector Hydrating Cream (1,499 Php/30g)
This cream completes the A-F 33 line and I was fortunate enough to get it for free along with purchasing the serum.

It comes in a squeeze type tube with a cap, quite simple and generic for a skin care product. Good thing I got this for free or else I would've really been disappointed about the packaging.

Like the serum this cream  also appears milky white but a bit thinner. It has that signature chemical scent that goes off almost instantly. It applies smoothly on your skin without stinging or causing any adverse reactions. A pea size is all you need to cover your entire face and another for your neck. It effectively moisturizes your skin without looking or feeling greasy. I love that I wake up to smooth and supple skin each morning.

A friend once told me that Avon products are underrated and overlooked. After having tested the Avon Anew Clinical PRO Line Corrector Treatment and Hydrating Cream, I'm going to have to strongly agree with her. Who would've thought I'll find an effective product from Avon most especially a holy grail?

Overall, the Anew Clinical PRO Line Corrector Treatment and Hydrating Cream are my all time favorites from Avon. I will continue using these and strongly suggest you to try them too. The tag might be a little intimidating but Avon gives great promos all the time so you might want to watch out for that and avail of them at discounted prices. I got both products for only 999 Php instead of the accumulated value of  3,498 Php. Seriously that's more than 70% worth of discount. Any thoughts on Avon products? Feel free to share them on the comments section below. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

SHISEIDO: White Lucent

Wednesday, March 19, 2014

Hey guys! I attended a workshop sponsored by Shiseido in their Trinoma branch last month. Luckily they offered discounts on selected items so I indulged a little.

I've always wanted to try a complete line from Shiseido but the expensive tag has kept me from purchasing until now. Since I have uneven skin tone due to post breakout marks, I decided to get their White Lucent products.

You get gorgeous bottles that look and feel luxurious. My vanity space has never looked so sophisticated. I didn't get all the products in the White Lucent line but I'm pretty sure I have everything I need with just three.

Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Balancing Softener (150mL)
This softener is clear, has a liquid consistency and a subtle scent that fades quickly on application. A lightly soaked cotton is all you need to spread the product all over your face. It doesn't sting even when used on active blemishes and instantly hydrates your skin making it look refreshed. This product gets absorbed easily and dries off quite fast leaving your skin feeling supple to touch.

I love that every bottle from Shiseido is sealed to ensure high quality. Hooray to an ergonomically designed dispenser to prevent wastage.

Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum (30mL)
This serum appears milky white and seems to exude a light scent that's almost undetectable. I find it very thin and runny for a serum hence easy to apply. A single pump is enough for each use but I prefer to concentrate on areas of my face where most of my post blemish marks are located like my nose, cheeks and chin. It makes your skin look a little shiny but it doesn't feel greasy or uncomfortable.

It comes in a flask type container with a pump which I think is very handy especially when dispensing runny products like this.

Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Protective Emulsion SPF 15-PA++ (75mL)
This emulsion also has a milky white color but is a bit thicker in consistency compared to the serum. It has the same subtle scent as the other White Lucent products. It spreads easily and leaves your skin with a bit of shine yet doesn't feel oily or heavy. It's ideal for everyday use since it offers skin protection from both UVA and UVB rays.

The bottle is also sealed, comes with a pump and transparent cap.

I've been using this line for a couple of weeks now and they do work well in lightening my post blemish marks and targeting my uneven skin tone. All three didn't irritate my skin or cause breakouts and untoward skin reactions. I love that Shiseido threw in a lot of freebies on top of the discounted tag. They gave me a vanity kit with generous samples of the same products that I purchased.

Overall, I'm loving the White Lucent line and I do recommend it to those who want to address uneven skin tone. You may visit any Shiseido branch nationwide for further details on their promos. Any thoughts on Shiseido White Lucent? Do share it on the comments section below. Thanks for reading and have an awesome week!

BIFESTA: BRIGHTUP Cleansing Lotion

Hey guys! I recently scoured the beauty section of Landmark Trinoma and finally decided to repurchase Japan's number one water-based makeup remover, the Bifesta Cleansing Lotion.

This cleanser comes in different varieties to target every woman's needs. I have pointed out each type below as described by the manufacturer.

MOIST
"Extra moisture for normal to dry skin"
Contains Ceramide-like ingredient to retain moisture, keeping the skin's natural balance making it protected from any possible irritation.

SEBUM
"Oil control for combination oily skin"
Contains Green Tea Extract that tightens pores preventing excessive oil formation.

BRIGHT UP
"Removes dead skin cells for brighter, even-toned skin"
Removes dead skin cells that cause dullness and darkening of pores and inhibits melanin production for a more bright, even-toned skin.

AGE CARE
"Rich nourishment to prevent premature skin aging"
Contains Co enzyme Q for deep nourishment and cell renewal. It also protects skin from premature aging due to sun exposure maintaining healthy young skin.

I previously bought a trial size of the SEBUM variety from Singapore not for anything else but because it was the only one available. I loved using it to the last drop which is why I snagged a full size upon seeing it was being sold at 10% off in Landmark. Click here to see my full review.

I was suppose to get AGE CARE but since I've been having blemishes here and there, I opted for BRIGHT UP to address my uneven skin tone due to post acne marks.

Don't get confused by the name, this cleansing lotion has the consistency and appearance of water. A single pump is enough to soak a flat cosmetic cotton. It has a subtle scent, feels light on your skin and easily removes makeup with a few swipes. I love that it leaves your skin looking freshly cleansed without the greasy finish. I can't remember the exact tag but it's around 400 Php and I got it for 10% off its original price. It's not at all an expensive product but not cheap as well but I can guarantee you're getting your money's worth.

Overall, Bifesta remains to be my staple makeup remover. I do recommend it to everyone and I will repurchase tho other varieties when this bottle runs out. Any thoughts on Bifesta? Do leave them on the comments section below. Thanks for reading and have a sun shiny day!
